Drivers are advised to check the motorway vignette validity before the Easter holidays

Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s. (National Motorway Company, hereinafter referred to as “NDS”) would like to remind drivers who use the Slovak motorways and expressways only occasionally not to forget to buy a motorway vignette. If they do not have a valid electronic motorway vignette, getting a 10-day vignette for the duration of the Easter holidays at a price of 10.80 EUR might be a reasonable solution (its price has been reduced from 12 EUR in 2024).

Every year during the Easter holidays, an increased number of motorists hit the roads, often using the motorways and expressways without a valid motorway vignette. If you are not sure whether your motorway vignette is still valid, you can easily check it online here: https://eznamka.sk/selfcare/modification/select/select-vignettes/?operation=Check.

Drivers who intend to travel during Easter and do not have a valid motorway vignette are advised to buy the vignette beforehand through one of the official online sales channels: the website www.eznamka.sk or the mobile application eZnamka.

There are several types of electronic motorway vignettes to choose from. If the drivers do not use the Slovak motorways and expressways regularly, the most cost-effective alternative would be to buy the 10-day vignette that is cheaper than last year and currently costs 10.80 EUR. However, the drivers can also choose a 1-day vignette for 8.10 EUR, a 30-day vignette for 17.10 EUR, or a 365-day vignette for 90 EUR.

NDS would like to advise the drivers to use only the official sales channels when purchasing the motorway vignette, as the prices of vignettes offered by various reselling websites can be much higher. Besides online purchase at www.eznamka.sk or via the mobile app eZnamka, the vignette can be purchased at petrol stations or Information and Sales Points located at motorway border crossings.
